The game went ahead in sub-zero temperatures at Prestonfield and only after three minutes a move involving Clark Campbell and Jamie Robertson saw Brian Ross finally receiving the ball but his shot went agonisingly inches by the post. With four first team regulars out Fauldhouse were competing well with the Rose and the pace of Robertson and B. Ross was unsettling the Lithgae defence with Clark Campbell a workhorse in midfield. Linlithgow came out sharp early on, a mazy run from McLennan saw him burst through the middle and into the box with only a great smother from Murphy at the number elevens feet saving a certain goal. The House replied five minutes later Campbell put in Michael Gibson and his shot from just inside the box went inches by. Fauldhouse showed up well and the quality in the finishing was the difference between the two sides, the new signings are fitting in well and it's beginning to look promising again.
