Lochee Harp 1 Brechin Vics 2

Vics were looking to get back to winning ways after last weeks set back and immediately took the game to Harp with McKay advancing down the right only for his cut back to be out of the reach of Fertacz. Harp showed their intent on 4 mins but the shot from 20 yards was high and wide. Harp came closer on 6 mins when a Scrimgeour free kick was saved by Robbie. Vics almost took the lead on 10 mins when a Young effort from a Renilson corner was cleared off the Harp line. The game was flowing from end to end and Robbie was again called into action but made a routine save from an 18 yard shot. Fertacz had an attempt on 15 mins but shot wide after drifting past two Harp defenders. Vics next chance came on 22 mins when Strachan had a header on target but his effort was easily saved. Scrimgeour of Harp once again had a free kick 25 yards out and only a great Robbie saved prevented the opening goal. The opening goal was not long in coming it was Vics who took the lead on the half hour mark when a Wilson cross was met at the back post by McKay who headed powerfully into the net from 4 yards.

Vics had an attempt on 46 mins when McKay played in Fertacz but again his effort was wide of the target. Vics extended their lead on 52 mins when Young thundered a 25 yard shot high into the corner of the net giving the keeper no chance. Vics were in control of the game at this point and a great passing move involving King, McKay and Fertacz resulted in the latter bringing out a good save from the Harp keeper with a header from 8 yards. The game settled down for the last 20 mins with chances at a premium. Harp did come close on 75 mins when again Scrimgeour came close with a shot but this time his effort from 20 yards was high over the bar. Harp pulled a goal back on 90 mins when Blair scored with a header from 12 yards after a cross from the right.
