Two points lost.

A picturesque setting looking over the Ochil hills was the scene today at Beachwood Park Sauchie. One time Fauldhouse favourite Kenny Martin now with the home side didn't take long to give United a scare when he connected to send a powerful header toward goal after only three minutes. Good interchanging between Craig Chilton and Gary Shanks put in Mark Wilkins but he never got any power behind his shot and the chance was lost. Morgan for the home side went close minutes later but Andy Murphy saved with ease. With twelve minutes on the clock a clash of heads saw Jason Deans come off worse and after treatment returned with his head bandaged. It was stop and start for the next ten minutes or so with the ref sending Jason to the touchline two or three times to wipe blood from his gashed head. . On the half hour Fauldhouse took the lead, from a free kick Jamie Gallagher collected it and fired it back in the goal keeper palmed it out and it fell for Michael Browne to blast high into the Sauchie net... 1-0 for United.  An injured Craig Chilton limped off to be replaced by Ross Donnelly and chances were few and far between in the remaining minutes before the break and the score at half time Sauchie 0 Fauldhouse 1.

Gary Shanks was substituted by Rees Smith with about five minutes gone in the second half after failing to run off a first half knock. Fauldhouse could have went two in front with Mark Wilkins crashing a header against the bar but Suchie then went up the park and Cummings curled his shot past Murphy...1-1. Mark Wilkins the best player on the park was tormenting the Sauchie defence and put through Ross Donnelly a couple of times but Ross just missed out on his final touch. Third time lucky Mark out jumped Kiczynski and headed on for Ross Donnelly to slip the ball passed Dolan... 2-1 the House with ten minutes left to play. Fauldhouse put in some resolute defending as the time was running out but Sauchie scored an equaliser in 89 minutes to snatch a point. Final score Sauchie 2 Fauldhouse United 2.

For his efforts Mark Wilkins was man of the match and deserved to be on the winning side but another goal against us in the closing minutes put paid to us picking up all three points.
