Brechin Vics 2 Kennoway 3
Steel had the first attempt for Vics but shot wide from a King corner. Kennoway took the lead on 4 mins when a corner found its way to the back post and Gray volleyed an unstoppable shot high into the net from 12 yards. Vics came back into the game and on 15 mins a great move involving McKay and Strachan presented King with a chance but his shot hit the side netting. Kennoway were looking dangerous and should have extended their lead on 17 mins but Gray shot high and wide with the goal at his mercy. McKay came close on 20 mins but just failed to connect with a King cross. Vics began to push and had a penalty claim on 32 mins when the keeper appeared to bring Young down but the referee waved away Vics appeal. Vics were awarded a penalty on 35 mins when Strachan was tripped in the box. King's resultant kick was saved by the keepers legs and cleared to safety. Vics eventually equalised on 38 mins when a Dunn corner was met at the near post by Whitworth who headed past the keeper from 6 yards.

Kennoway regained the lead on 47 mins when Byers shot from 20 yards when in off the post giving keeper Robbie no chance. The game was flowing from end to end and Dunn had a speculative effort from 25 yards which went over the bar. Vics found the equaliser midway through the half when McKay turned and shot from 16 yards into the corner of the net. Both teams were pressing for the next goal and Robbie had to be alert with a good save. Kennoway took the lead again on 73 mins when sub Thomson stole in at the back post to knock the ball into the net from 2 yards from a Gray header. Vics pushed everything forward for the final 10 mins of the match but could not create the one chance that would have gained hem a share of the points.
