Stung at home by Thistle!

A local derby against near neighbours Armadale Thistle at Parkview and it was Thistle who started the livelier taking control of the mid field and forcing a few corners early on. It took quarter of an hour before United's Jamie Robertson had a shot on goal but Walker came out top and saved with his feet. Thistle replied with quick fire shots from Mauchline and Feeney as they pressed for the opener. A high ball into the area had Andy Murphy rushing out to block the ball and it went out for another Thistle corner. Just before the break Jamie Robertson was unlucky with a free kick which was touched onto the bar by Walker...Fauldhouse United 0 Armadale Thistle 0.

After a first half in which Armadale looked to have had the better of the play Fauldhouse began to get a bit more adventurous, a Ross Donnelly mazy run saw him cut the ball back for Clark Campbell to fire in a fierce shot towards goal but again Walker saved the day. Fauldhouse had the ball in the net half way through the second half when after a clever move down the right Robertson tucked it away but it was ruled out for off side...debatable! Two more point blank save from the Dales goalie Walker kept it goalless and a draw about a fair result. Full time Fauldhouse United 0 Armadale Thistle 0.

After a lackluster start United could have sneaked it on clear cut chances and i'm sure Thistle will be more than happy with a point away from home.
