Vics attacked from the start and Fertacz had a shot saved in the first minute. Dunn came close on 3 min but his header was just wide. Vics took the lead on 5 mins when Young headed a King corner into the back of the net from 6 yards. Two minutes later Strachan came close when through on goal but the keeper saved with his feet. Vics extended their lead on 8 minutes when Young scored with an identical goal this time from a Dunn corner. It was al Vics and again Fertacz was denied by a good save by the Albion keeper. Vics scored number 3 on 27 mins and again it was Young who headed a King corner into the net past the helpless keeper. Vics were dominant and number 4 came on 35 minutes when a King run down the left created a chance for Fertacz who this time was able to find the back of the net. Five minutes before half time Dunn almost made it five but he was just wide with his attempt.

Half time 4-0

2 minutes into the second half and Vics made it 5. Strachan drove through the heart of the Albion defence before being brought down for a penalty. Strachan duly despatched the spot kick sending the keeper the wrong way. It was 6-0 on 50 mins when a lofted ball by Wilson found King who made no mistake in placing the ball past the keeper from 12 yards. McKay was next to try his luck on 60 mins when he sent a great shot from 18 yards crashing off the crossbar. A moment of slack play allowed Albion a chance and Black duly scored past the helpless Robbie. Another great move produced Vics seventh goal on 75 min when Dunn squared to Fertacz who slammed the ball into the corner of the net from 10 yards. The scoring wasn't over however as Albion's Milne scored with an excellent free kick from 20 yards with 5 mins remaining.
