Brechin Vics 2 Forfar West End 3
Vics entertained Forfar West End who after six straight wins were still in with a chance of promotion. It was Forfar who drew first blood when McKenzie headed unchallenged past Robbie from 8 yards from a Fullerton free kick. Vics took time to recover from this set back but deservedly drew level on 16 mins when King played in Steel who produced a neat finish to slot the ball past the advancing keeper. Vics were having the upper hand at this stage and a cross cum shot from Strachan hit the cross bar before going behind. McWilliam came close on 30 mins producing a good save from the Forfar keeper. Brechin Vics took the lead on 35 mins when a long ball down the left found player manager King who produced a great lob from 25 yards to beat the Forfar keeper.
Half time 2-1
Forfar started with the wind behind them in the second half and equalised within 8 mins of the restart. A long ball played into the box was not dealt with and Reynolds nipped to head past Robbie from 10 yards. The game developed into a midfield battle with Forfar looking the more dangerous and Vics finding the strong wind difficult to deal with. Forfar took the lead on 78 mins when a corner from the left found McDonald who headed unchallenged past Robbie from 12 yards. Vics tried gainfully to get level but were unable to create a clear cut chance. The nearest they came was on 80 mins when McKay made a good run down the right wing but his cut back was cleared before reaching Strachan in the penalty box.
