Report from Forfar West End

ROCKET FROM RAMSAY SHOOTS DOWN LOCHORE:

Forfar West End JFC made it 6 straight wins in a row with a convincing 4-1 victory over fife outfit Lochore Welfare JFC, it was the fife outfit who started the brightest but it was the home side who opened the scoring when Hart made space for himself and fired in his 20th goal of the campaign, then it was the visitors who got back on level terms with a sucsession of corners eventually leading to a headed goal. The game then became a bit scrappy until just on the stroke of half time Matty Ramsay produced a goal of the season contender, when he was 25 yards from goal then unleashed an unstoppable strike into the roof of the net.

Half Time: FWE 2-1 Lochore

(Hart, Ramsay)

West End started the 2nd period with purpose and tried to kill the game as early as they could, with Scott and Hart going close to extending the lead, but then Cammy Johnstone in the home goal produced a magnigcent save high to his right hand side, keeping the lead in tact. Then as West End pushed to increase the lead it was the 2 Mattys who combined to grab the crutial 3rd of the afternoon with a great turn from Ramsay who slotted the ball through to Reynolds who expertly slotted the ball past the helpless keeper, Reynolds has been in a rich vain of scoring and contined that today making it 6 goals in 4 games. The icing on the cake this afternoon was when there was a mix up in the away defence and who else but Hart was on hand to pounce and add goal number 21 to his name for the season. West End saw the game out with ease and made it 6 league wins in a row.

Manager Daryl McKenzie is under no illusions how big the task of promotion is but all his side can do is keep on winning and see where it takes them.
