ht 1-0

Watson, Anderson, Davidson, McAllister, Bremner, Boylan,Craig, Byers, Thomson, Field, Lornie

KSH headed up to Forfar to take on West End in this league encounter. The visitors were without 3 of the back 4 that had kept 3 clean sheets in a row, Brown,Murdoch and Gray were the missing players. Davidson and Bremner came back into the side with McAllister dropping back from midfield into the centre half position. Ryan Thomson started up top with Chris Lornie moving out to the left of midfield.

Forfar came out the blocks flying and showed their intent after only 5 minutes played when they nearly took the lead. After an almighty stramash in the box the ball fell for Scott but his drive was blocked and cleared . West End continued to press and Scott was getting plenty room down the right hand side as the visitors failed to track the midfield runners of West End. Watson in the KSH goals was being kept busy and made 2 good stops in quick succession to thwart the raiding West End forwards. The home side finally took a deserved lead on the 22nd mark when from a Fullerton corner the ball wasn't cleared and Scott was on hand to fire past Watson. West End could have added to their tally in the first period with several efforts saved by Watson and Anderson superbly clearing off the line when a goal looked certain.
The visitors did come close in the first half, Chris Lornie firing just wide and Iain Boylan twice shooting past the post but Sloan in the West End goals didnt have a save of note to make.

Half Time 1-0

With the visitors racking up one of their poorest halves of the season much was expected in the second period.
Robertson came on to replace Thomson and Lornie moved up top beside him as KSH went 4-4-2 to try and get themselves back in the game. However it was still Forfar who looked the more dangerous and more likely to score and on the hour mark Reynolds nearly doubled the home sides lead but Watson saved superbly. Anderson then went on a mazy run beating 4 players but there was no end product. McAllister swung in a free kick but Sloan held well. With 75 minutes gone Forfar went 2 up with Fullerton firing past Watson. West End then wrapped up the points 6 minutes later when Bremner was short with a passback and Scott pounced to round Watson and tap into the empty net.
In the closing stages Watson made 3 tremendous saves to keep the scoreline down and a bit more respectable in what was a truly bad day at the office for Kennoway Star Hearts.

Next Saturday KSH are away to Dundee East Craigie in a league tie , kick off is 2.30pm.
