Two match reports this week - First from of Brian Nimmo of The Advertiser- then care of Robert Scrimgeour of the Evening News.
Brian writes....A superb hat trick by Thistle's Darren Flynn ensured that the Jags collected all three points as the Perth visitors finished second best in this windswept tussle the Jags' tenth home league match of the season.
It was Dalkeith who faced the testing elements in the first half but strong home defending denied Kinnoull opportunities to exploit the conditions including a superb 5th minute save by keeper Ross Combe to deny a Stunning Keith Dewar netbound shot .
But it was a double gold strike by Thistle in 24 and 27 minutes that shocked the visitors.
Firstly a Sean Lally feed set up a composed Darren Flynn to shoot home the opening goal and just three minutes later it was Flynn the provider for Stephen Pusledski to score making it 2-0 to Thistle at the break much anticipating the elements second half as just two minutes before the break it should have been three to Thistle but Scot McNaughton put an excellent chance over the bar .
But instead it was Kinnoull who came out fighting pressing the Jags with nine minutes gone before Kinnoull keeper's Gavin Sorely's first touch in a home spell of trouble when in 56 minutes indecision between pivot David Liddle and keeper Ross Combe saw the latter clatter Charlie Fertacz in the box for a Kinnoull penalty scored by Christopher Dodd after keeper Combe had been yellow carded !
But Thistle finally settled and restored their two goal advantage in 67 minutes after Pusledski's free kick had won a corner as Flynn whipped home Pusleski's resultant flag kick to make it 3-1 to Thistle and their 60th goal of the season !
More bookings saw Pusledski, Michael Linton and James Patterson making it four Thistle Yellow cards before in 81 minutes Darren Flynn
completed his hat trick seizing on a wayward header to run through and finish off with a fine third personal strike .
Five minutes into time added on Kinnoull made the trip back to Perth slightly easier when Daryn Smith popped up at the far post to score close in following a free kick from the left side .

And then Robert Scrimgeour from the Evenng News writes..
Dalkeith followed on from last weekend's victory over Glenrothes with victory over Kinnoull by the same scoreline. At a blustery Kings Park, Darren Flynn scored his first of the afternoon on 24 minutes after latching onto a superb through ball by Sean Lally. Stephen Pudledski made it two three minutes later from a Scott McNaughton free-kick. McNaughton missed a gilt-edged chance just before the break, and it was the Perthshire men who got themselves back into the game on 53 minutes. Keith Dewar seized upon a David Liddle pass back to Ross Combe and he was felled by the Thistle keeper. Christopher Dodd stroked home the resultant penalty. Dalkeith restored their two goal advantage when Flynn prodded home from McNaughton's corner on 65 minutes, and he secured his hat-trick on 82 minutes when clean through on goal. Daryn Smith's back post finish from a Dodd free-kick handed Kinnoull a late consolation, Dalkeith's joy soured somewhat with a late injury to left-back Scott Main.
