Back to Winning Ways.

After last week's minor setback the House were forced to field a changed side against near neighbours Livingston United and came home with all three points. With a completely changed rear line up and a re-jigged midfield the House took the game to Livi from the start, in eight minutes Chilton crossed a ball in from the right to Shaun Martin but this headed effort went over the crossbar. Fauldhouse were awarded a free kick in ten minutes from just outside the box Shanksy fired the kick just wide of the post. Thirty six minutes and the Livi keeper had to make a good stop from a Mark Wilkins effort and then a brilliant double save to keep the score level. the House were putting the Livi rearguard under pressure and the big keeper again made some good saves this time from Mark Wilkins and Chilli, and just on half time a Kenny Martin shot was cleared off the line.... Half Time Livingston Utd. 0 Fauldhouse Utd 0.  The second half got underway and Fauldhouse kept up the pressure on the Livingston rearguard, Ross Donnelly was the stand out player in the middle of the park and it was the trickery of Ross which saw him brought down just outside the box in fifty eight minutes and that man Shanks despatched the free kick in to the top corner of the goal with such ferocity the keeper was left watching the ball come back out....Livingston 0 Fauldhouse 1, the breakthrough at last !  The House kept up the pressure and continued to create openings which they failed to capitalise on. Shanksy shot straight at the keeper on seventy six minutes and shortly after Kenny Martin broke up the park and to chip the ball over the keeper but the big man in goal just got his fingers to the ball to prevent the King from scoring, game over...Livingston Utd. 0 Fauldhouse Utd. 1. and another 3 points to the House on a difficult park and with a completely changed side, also a special mention to Ross Donnelly for his performance in the middle of the park, quality !
