Report from Fauldhouse United

A Workmanlike Performance.

The House entertained Kinnoull at Parkview for their first game in over two weeks and had to work hard to earn the 3 points from a side that we have never beaten in the league before. The park was heavy which made it difficult to play the usual free flowing football and Kinnoull seemed well up for the game also.  We had to wait until the thirteenth minute for a shot at goal which came from Chilton but the keeper was in the right place to collect the ball without too much difficulty.  A good strong game developed in the middle of the park with no quarter given by both sides, the next chance fell to the House on thirty minutes when a Shanks free kick was held by the keeper though. Just on half time Chilton was brought down as he raced into the box...penalty ! and Gary Shanks superbly blasted the spot kick past the keeper... Fauldhouse 1 Kinnoull 0. and it stayed that way at the end of forty five minutes... Half Time Fauldhouse Utd. 1  Kinnoull 0.  The second half got underway and Kinnoull came out strongly and created a few chances which Andy Murphy in goal was equal to and keep them at bay. United started to get back into the game and on sixty six minutes Shanksy broke down the right and crossed the ball to Ross Donnelly he narrowly missed the ball as it whizzed across the six yard box . The House increased their lead eventually in seventy five minutes when Shanksy sent the ball through the middle to Ross Donnelly who rounded the keeper and slotted the ball home ...  Fauldhouse 2 Kinnoull 0 and a bit of breathing space.  As a contest the game was looking over and the House went on to wrap up the scoring in eighty six minutes when Chilli cut the ball back to King Kenny Martin to slam it past the keeper...  3-0 Fauldhouse and game over.   Not the best performance from the House but considering the two week lay off they played well enough to win this game and keep us at the top of the Premier League.
