Report from the Fauldhouse United

A point flatters Glens.

The House went to the aptly named Warout Stadium to take on Glenrothes and ended the game unlucky to come away with only one point in the end. The severe wind put paid to any chance of a classy performance and possibly should not have been played in the first place.  A first half with nothing much to talk about but the House new Keeper Andy Murphy signed from Ballingry Rovs. was called into action to save a point blank shot from Pearson in twenty eight minutes. Just before half time Jason Deans put the ball through to big Jamie Gallagher he turned and shot but Glens keeper Smith palmed the ball away to safety...                   Half Time Glenrothes 0 Fauldhouse Utd. 0.  Second half and the House with the wind behind them were taking the game to Glens and in forty seven minutes Shanksy fired his shot inches over the crossbar.  In fifty two minutes Glens broke away and Napier forced a good save from Murphy, then Ross Donnelly fired a shot which keeper Smith did well to save. Glenrothes took the lead on the hour mark when a back header from Clark Campbell was intercepted by Ian Griffin who ran on to slot the ball past Murphy... 1-0 Glens.  The House kept pressing and in sixty seven minutes Jason Deans forced a good stop from Smith. The game took a major turn twenty two minutes to go when Jason Deans was sent off for a last ditch tackle on Martin. There was not much in it at this point but things got even worse when with ten minutes to go Kevin Ross also recieved a red card. The nine men levelled the game incredibly in the last five minutes when Andy Murphy kicked the ball up the middle of the park to Craig Chillton who turned and fired an unstoppable shot past Smith.. Glenrothes 1 Fauldhouse 1. Two minutes later and he House were awarded a free kick 25yrds from goal Chilli took the kick himself and rocketed the ball past Smith to put The House 2-1 up... unbeleivable !  Then disaster again Kenny Martin recieved a debatable red card after the Glens defender seemed to raise his elbow. The House were now down to eight men.  Glenrothes were awarded a free kick right at the death and the ball broke out to Kinnes his shot deflected over the head of Andy Murphy in to the net...2-2.  The Goal clebrations soured the match which resulted in some pushing and shoving. The game was restarted and the final whistle blew straight away, game over and a point apiece which flattered the home side.  A good performance from the House in the second half which deserved more. , two great goals from Craig Chilton which souldn't be overlooked, will need to sort out the disipline though.
