Report from Fauldhouse United

Shared Points.

The House opened their league campaign with a good point after sealing a late eqaliser to earn a draw. A Good game to watch and United took an early lead in eight minutes when King Kenny Martin steered the ball past Bruce in to the bottom corner  1-0  Fauldhouse.   Kenny had another good chance in fourteen minutes but chipped the ball wide. Twenty minutes played and Jeanfield were lucky to keep out succesive efforts from Kenny and Adam eventually clearing the ball off the line. Half an hour gone and Shaun Martin made a good run beating two players and slipping the ball to Clark Campbell but keeper Bruce saved his effort, shortly after though Jeanfield were level when Sam Scott put a short back header to Iain Stewart the ball was intercepted by Robbie Holden to round the keeper and slot the ball home... Half time...Fauldhouse Utd. 1 Jeanfield Sw. 1.  Just under ten minutes in Jeanfield went ahead after some sloppy defending again, Sinclair nodded the ball over the line... 2-1 Jeanfield . The Visitors were on top for now and looked good for the points with time running out when just on the full time whistle Craig Chilton was judged to have been brought down in the box, the referee rightly awarded a penalty which cool hand luke Kenny Martin blasted past Bruce to end the game...  Fauldhouse United 2 Jeanfield Swifts 2.  A good point for the House in the circumstances but more important a good insight of what we are to face in the coming season.
